ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Business Development Associate will play a pivotal role in sourcing new business opportunities and nurturing existing accounts, with a particular focus on the French‑speaking provinces of Canada and French Immersion programmes nationwide. This role requires a bilingual English French speaker who can effectively engage with schools, District Boards and influential organisations across both English and Francophone communities to expand awareness and adoption of Scanning Pens solutions.
ABOUT YOU
We seek an experienced, bilingual business development professional to organise leads, generate opportunities, and ensure consistent follow‑up through a mix of phone calls, emails and social media outreach, with the intended outcomes of booking meetings, setting up trials, developing pilot programmes, scheduling webinars, training events and ultimately driving revenue.
REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES:
- Purpose-Led: has a genuine dedication to supporting diverse learners, including First Nations communities.
- Business Development Experience: Demonstrated track record of revenue growth, pipeline development, account nurturing and ability to identify realistic opportunities.
- CRM Proficiency: Competent user of CRM platforms with experience in activity logging, pipeline management, and maintaining accurate data.
- Digital Literacy: Strong proficiency in email, Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace tools; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Communication Skills: Confident, clear, engaging and persuasive communicator, able to build rapport and extract key information effectively.
- Industry/Customer Experience: Experience working with education sector customers is beneficial but not essential.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
