Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shipper for a direct hire opportunity in North York, ON. This Lead Shipper role is ideal for a warehouse and distribution professional who enjoys keeping freight moving accurately, safely, and on schedule.
In this position, you will help coordinate dock operations, support warehouse staff, oversee inbound and outbound freight activity, and ensure orders are picked, received, verified, and loaded correctly. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with directing hourly warehouse personnel and supporting daily workflow across shipping, receiving, and dock operations.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound truck activity while ensuring dock safety procedures are followed.
- Verify orders, create bills of lading and shipping labels, and coordinate accurate loading of outbound freight.
- Receive inbound orders, post outbound orders, and process freight documentation accurately.
- Conduct inventory activities, manage the site cycle count program, and perform department cycle counts.
- Follow all safety and operating rules while supporting delivery deadlines and overall distribution center efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: Up to $28 per hour.
- Salary range: $25 to $28 per hour.
- Schedule: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hours: 44 hours per week.
