We are currently recruiting for a couple of Personal Support Workers to assist our female employer, with Cerebral Palsy, with all activities of daily living.
She enjoys arts and crafts and creating things with Lego. She likes to go for coffee out in the community as well as going swimming or for walks and being outdoors.
Location:
- Yaletown (near Roundhouse)
Shifts and Hours:
- Monday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Tuesday either 8:30am-4:30pm or 9am-5pm
- Wednesday (alternating weekly) 9am-5pm and 12pm-8pm
- Thursday either 8:30am-2:00pm or 9am-230pm
Compensation
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Assistance in community with activities
- Exercises, Range of motion
- Standing walking transfers from bed to bath - can weight bare
- All ADL's including but not limited to assistance in shower with washing hair, assistance with dressing
- Light housework and cooking
- grocery shopping assistance and putting away groceries
Required Qualifications
- No DL required
- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Experience with caregiving and personal care
- Ability to cook and be creative with recipes
- Ability to take individual swimming weekly
