Job Summary:
Cantex Mining Services is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for an earthworks and heavy civil construction project near Logan Lake, BC. Civil construction and/or mining experience is required. This role supports Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project leaders in the implementation and management of quality processes, inspections, reporting, and documentation. The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. Safety is our top priority, and our culture is built on teamwork, accountability, and delivering projects safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Supervise, train, mentor QC inspectors, and coordinate inspection activities across multiple disciplines.
- Manage all Quality Control Turnover Requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and client representatives to ensure quality requirements are consistently met.
- Review and verify construction documentation, including drawings, procedures, specifications, and quality records.
- Management of the Non-Conformance Reports, facilitate timely corrective actions, and verify effective resolution.
- Conduct quality audits and field inspections to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
- Support project turnover and completion activities, including preparation and verification of turnover documentation packages.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.
- Provide quality and constructability input during project planning and execution phases.
- Foster a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and proactive problem solving across site teams.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Quality Control within mining and construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including CSA, ASTM, client specifications.
- Demonstrated experience leading and supervising Mining and Earthworks QC teams.
- Proven experience with inspection processes, quality documentation, turnover packages, and completion systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments.

Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
