Delta Electric is looking for an experienced, licensed 309A Electrician to join our office team as a Service Coordinator / Jr. Estimator. This role is ideal for someone ready to transition from the tools into an office-based position while staying involved in electrical construction.
Working closely with our clients, field electricians, suppliers, and project managers, you'll coordinate service work and small projects from start to finish, ensuring jobs are organized, scheduled, and completed efficiently.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician License.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial and residential electrical experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to adapt to changing workloads and shifting project demands.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Previous estimating or project coordination experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate service calls and small electrical projects from initiation to completion.
- Schedule work with clients and coordinate field staff.
- Conduct client meetings and site walkthroughs.
- Procure materials and coordinate with electrical suppliers.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections with ESA and local utilities.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding scheduling, project status, and scope changes.
- Develop work schedules and project scopes while considering site conditions and client requirements.
- Review contract drawings and specifications.
- Attend project meetings and site visits as required.
- Prepare project handoff documentation for invoicing.
- Prepare project close-out documentation for clients.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of bid and tender documents.
- Support estimating and project management functions as needed.
