Job description:
Duties
- Oversee and manage the production process, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products
- Train and supervise production staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and address any quality control issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of production processes, systems, and equipment
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and their implementation
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON L4X 2G6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Bakery Manufacturing : 2 years (required)
- Production Management: 2 years (required)
