Course Description: This course aims to introduce students to the relationships between firms and the principal participants in their financial capital structure. Corporations raise capital essentially in one of two ways: they either borrow money or issue debt obligations (debt) or issue shares (equity). These forms of financing create rights, obligations and expectations. In this course, we will carefully examine related considerations. A table of materials will be made available providing required and discretionary readings.
TQR: At a minimum, a first degree in law. Several years of significant practice or professional experience, in the relevant area; Experience in teaching undergraduate law students in a bilingual setting.
