Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on order fulfillment, logistics, and distribution.
Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and accurately
- Receive incoming goods, inspect for damages or discrepancies, and update inventory records accordingly
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, and AS400 to track inventory movements and order processing
- Pick and pack orders efficiently for e-commerce or warehouse distribution channels
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Operate order pickers and perform basic math calculations for order quantities and measurements
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all handling procedures
- Support general warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, AS400 is highly desirable
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment required; certification preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for order fulfillment and inventory management
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, packing, load & unload procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Basic understanding of e-commerce logistics is a plus
