We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces, ensuring that they meet industry standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets according to specifications.
- Apply joint tape and compound to seams and corners, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Sand and polish finished surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Read blueprints and project plans to determine the layout of the drywall installation.
Skills
- Proficient in drywall installation techniques and finishing processes.
- Experience with caulking and construction painting is highly desirable.
- Strong maintenance person skills with the ability to build and repair structures as needed.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately to follow project specifications.
- Knowledge of carpentry practices that complement drywall finishing work.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality results.
