Role Overview
Mindful Career is seeking a senior, licensed Career Psychologist / Industrial-Organizational Psychologist / Registered Mental Health Professional with significant experience in career psychology, executive coaching, and leadership development.
This is a client-only role. There are no sales, no marketing, and no client acquisition responsibilities. Mindful Career fully manages client intake, matching, and scheduling — and fills your roster.
This role is ideal for an experienced clinician or executive coach who wants meaningful, high-level work without the operational burden of private practice.
Key Details
- Location: Remote (must be licensed to practice anywhere in Canada)
- Schedule: Flexible, Evening and weekend availability strongly preferred
- Compensation: $150/hour
- Client Structure: Clients are onboarded into programs of up to 12 sessions per client. Mindful Career fills and manages your roster
- Client Acquisition: 100% provided by Mindful Career. No self-promotion or lead generation required
- Receipts: Must be able to issue insurance-eligible receipts accepted across Canada
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level, psychology-led career counselling to professionals and executives
- Conduct deep behavioural profiling and psychological analysis beyond surface assessments
- Integrate advanced psychometric tools, including: MBTI®, Strong Interest Inventory® , Work Personality Index (WPI)
- Support clients with: Career transitions and reinvention, Executive and leadership development, Burnout recovery and workplace misalignment, Career mapping, advancement, and decision-making, Translate psychological insight into clear, actionable career roadmaps
- Maintain clinical standards, documentation, and insurance-compliant receipts
Required Qualifications
Licensing (Required):
Must be licensed and in good standing in Canada, with the ability to issue insurance receipts. Accepted designations include:
- Registered Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)
- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP)
- Clinical Social Worker (MSW, RSW)
- Other regulated mental health professionals eligible for insurance reimbursement
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in career psychology, I-O psychology, executive coaching, psychotherapy, or leadership development
- Proven experience working with high-performing professionals and executive clients
Preferred (Strong Assets)
- Formal training or certification in executive coaching or leadership development
- Hands-on experience with MBTI® and/or Strong Interest Inventory®
- Comfort navigating complex professional, identity, and leadership dynamics
- Ability to synthesize psychology, behaviour, and strategy at a senior level
Training & Methodology
All clinicians complete Mindful Career’s onboarding and earn the Leadership Development Certification, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across the organization.
