We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using our POS system.
- Assist guests with any inquiries about the menu or restaurant services.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the waiting area and host stand.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times and making reservations as needed.
- Monitor guest flow and adjust seating accordingly to optimize service efficiency.
- Provide assistance to guests as needed, ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in a busy restaurant setting.
