Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks to recover and transport vehicles from accident scenes, breakdowns, or parking violations
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after towing to assess damage and ensure proper handling
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues and assist with basic automotive repairs when necessary
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate vehicle recovery efforts
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including logs, reports, and vehicle documentation
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for operating heavy-duty vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and basic automotive repair skills
- Customer service skills to handle interactions professionally and courteously under stressful situations
- Certification in forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy objects safely
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Prior experience with automotive or roadside assistance services is advantageous
