Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background within the construction and/or property management industry and will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations. This position will also assist with the planning, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the Yardi property management and accounting system.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while working collaboratively with project managers, operations, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting for construction and property management operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor project costs and assist with construction job cost reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses for management.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of the Yardi accounting system.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and system efficiencies.
- Support external auditors and provide documentation as required.
- Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience within the construction and/or property management industry is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Yardi is essential.
- Experience with Procore is considered a strong asset.

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
