Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Pipeline Labourer to join our team. This role involves working on-site supporting pipeline construction, maintenance, and oil & gas operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to assist with pipeline installation, trenching, and related field tasks. This position offers opportunities for skill development in a dynamic environment and is essential to the safe and successful completion of our pipeline projects.
Duties
- Support pipeline installation activities including pipe handling, alignment, and positioning of materials or equipment.
- Assist with trenching, backfilling, and site preparation for pipeline construction.
- Perform basic inspections of pipeline equipment and fittings to ensure operational safety.
- Drive or ride along in service vehicles to transport materials and personnel to job sites, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with hydrostatic testing, tie-ins, and other pipeline commissioning tasks as directed.
- Follow all safety protocols, including H2S awareness and pipeline-specific procedures, to maintain a safe work environment.
Experience
- Prior experience in pipeline construction or oil & gas field operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of pipe handling, fusion, or joining techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with trenching equipment such as excavators or backhoes is an asset.
- Valid driver's license required; a commercial driver's license (CDL) is desirable but not mandatory.
- WHIMIS, H2S Alive, and First Aid certifications will be considered strong assets.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely.
