Shift Premiums:
- 2nd Shift: +$3.00/hour
- 3rd Shift: +$4.00/hour
- Weekend Shift: +$3.00/hour

Our client is looking for skilled and motivated Red Seal 310J Trailer Technicians to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment, technology, tools, and experienced professionals in the vehicle maintenance industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial trailers and related systems. - Diagnose and repair all types and sizes of commercial trailers.
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and air brake systems.
- Inspect and repair steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, suspension systems, and other critical components.
- Diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning systems, instruments, and gauges.
- Identify parts required for repairs and document required repairs accurately.
- Identify warrantable repairs and document them on repair orders.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using appropriate testing equipment and tools.
- Repair and replace trailer components as required.
- Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and fasteners, and reassemble equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication and servicing of equipment.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, pressure gauges, precision instruments, jacks, hoists, and welding equipment.
- Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in tractor-trailer or commercial trailer maintenance.
- Must hold a valid 310J Red Seal Trailer Technician certification.
- Specialized training in trailer repair and component replacement is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and related components.
- Proficiency using shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Class DZ license within 6 months of hire.
- Basic computer skills for entering information into maintenance systems.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Willingness to travel within the local district for customer yards, training, or other work-related requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 12 kg.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 23 kg.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 kg.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and use hands for extended periods.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and in a shop environment.
- Good close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
