Overview
We are seeking a passionate and engaging Drum Teacher to inspire students of all ages through rhythm and percussion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, enjoy working with children, and possess the ability to create a fun and supportive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop students' musical skills while fostering their confidence and creativity.
Duties
- Design and deliver engaging drum lessons tailored to students’ skill levels and interests
- Prepare lesson plans that incorporate fundamental rhythms, techniques, and music theory
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and enjoyment
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and age groups
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom setting
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student development when appropriate
- Incorporate elements of early childhood education to make lessons accessible for young learners
- Assist with related activities such as musical games or basic percussion instrument maintenance
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching percussion instruments, especially drums
- Working with children in educational or extracurricular settings is highly desirable
- Background in early childhood education or classroom experience is a plus
- Skills in cooking are considered a nice-to-have for integrating creative activities into lessons
- Prior experience in music instruction, classroom management, or youth programs will be advantageous
