SUMMARY:
Join the prestigious Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC), a year-round private club with Island and City Clubhouses in Toronto, delivering premium service across Sailing, Food & Beverage, Fitness, and Sports facilities. As a Food Runner, you’ll play a vital support role within our Food & Beverage team by ensuring the efficient, timely delivery of food to Members and guests. This position is ideal for individuals who are team-oriented, high-energy, and passionate about creating a seamless dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Deliver food orders promptly and accurately to guests’ tables.
-
Coordinate closely with Servers and Kitchen staff to maintain service flow.
-
Relay any special instructions or dietary notes to the kitchen team.

Answer guest questions related to food delivery and timing with professionalism.

Clear and reset tables between courses and after meal service.
-
Transport dirty dishes and cutlery to dishwashing area efficiently.

Sanitize tables, chairs, and surrounding areas to maintain cleanliness.

Assist in maintaining organized and clean service stations.
-
Support the team during peak periods with flexibility and enthusiasm.

Follow direction from Supervisors and respond proactively to Member needs.

Uphold a positive attitude and respectful communication with all team members.
WHAT YOU BRING?

Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is an asset.

Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding of food handling and sanitation practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing and walking for prolonged periods.

Lifting and carrying trays or items up to 50 lbs.

Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.

Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
HOURS OF WORK:
-
Seasonal part- time position (July to October).

Must be available for 3-4 days of the week from 11am - 8 pm or 3 pm - 11 pm

Primary work location: RCYC Island Clubhouse – accessible via private Club launch at 150 Cherry St.
