Seeking an Experienced Respite Worker
Looking for a confident, experienced respite worker for my non-speaking autistic son with high support needs.
Must be calm under pressure, unshaken by challenging behaviours, and able to respond confidently to significant escalations and difficult transitions. Should be physically active, safety-focused, comfortable with toileting assistance, and experienced supporting autistic children with complex needs.
I’m happy to stay nearby at first so you can get to know us and feel comfortable and supported.
-Take on outings - Pool, beach and walks.
-Communicate with AAC (Touch Chat)
- Criminal Record Check Required
-First Aid Preferred
Pay: $27.00 per hour
