We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Senior Waste Equipment Service Technician / Foreman to join our growing Service Department. This leadership role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining waste and industrial equipment while providing technical guidance to service technicians and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair compactors, balers, pressure washers, scrubbers, catch basin equipment, waste bins, and related industrial equipment.

Service and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Perform preventative maintenance and respond to emergency service calls.

Complete basic PLC troubleshooting and equipment programming.

Perform light welding, fabrication, and cutting as required.

Read, complete, and maintain digital work orders and service reports.

Prepare repair recommendations and communicate technical findings with customers.

Assist with estimating repair work and ordering parts.

Lead service projects and provide technical guidance, training, and support to other technicians.

Ensure all work is completed safely while maintaining a clean and professional work environment.

Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience repairing waste, industrial, or heavy equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude with extensive experience in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Experience troubleshooting compactors, balers, or similar waste handling equipment is highly preferred.

Basic PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.

Welding, fabrication, and metal cutting experience.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently while leading and mentoring a service team.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital work order systems.

Salesforce experience is considered an asset.
