POSITION: Marketing Coordinator (Permanent, Full-Time – 37.5 hrs/week)

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $48,893 - $61,116 (paid bi-weekly)
LOCATION: Midhurst, Ontario (Hybrid)

POSITION SUMMARY
At United Way Simcoe Muskoka, marketing is a strategic function that supports and connects all areas of the organization. The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in shaping how our work is communicated across channels, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and United Way Centraide Canada brand standards. This role requires a thoughtful and proactive marketing professional who can independently manage projects and make informed decisions on content, design, and digital engagement strategies. The Marketing Coordinator brings a strong understanding of multi-channel marketing; including social media, digital campaigns, and visual design and applies this expertise to effectively tell the story of United Way’s impact. With a high degree of accountability, the Marketing Coordinator balances multiple priorities, anticipates needs, and adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment. Through compelling communications, this role helps engage and mobilize donors, volunteers, advocates, and community partners to drive meaningful change.
This is a full-time position based on a 37.5-hour work week. Occasional travel and work outside regular office hours may be required to support events. Any approved additional hours worked will be compensated through paid time off in lieu, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act, 2000.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-4 years of experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment with established brand standards
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in Digital Media, Marketing, or Graphic Design or equivalent relevant experience is required
REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE DEMONSTRATED
- Proficient with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok), including content creation and performance optimization
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and prioritize competing deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and HubSpot
- Solid experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Experience creating, editing, and publishing engaging video content across platforms
- Strong creative judgement with the ability to translate ideas into compelling visual and written content
- Ability to assess content effectiveness and recommend improvements based on performance insights
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and adapt approaches as needed
- Effective collaborator who can also work independently with minimal direction
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Manager, Marketing and Communications to contribute to the development and refinement of social media strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Lead the creation, scheduling, and optimization of content across platforms
- Monitor engagement and respond in a timely, brand aligned manner
- Evaluate performance and recommend adjustments to improve reach, engagement, and impact
- Maintain and evolve the content calendar to reflect emerging priorities and opportunities
- Develop and prepare digital assets for email campaigns, newsletters, events, and organizational communications
- Independently deploy and manage email campaigns through HubSpot
- Create and edit video content that supports storytelling and campaign objectives
- Maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with brand standards
- Identify opportunities to enhance digital user experience and engagement
- Collaborate cross-functionally to conceptualize and produce marketing materials that support campaigns and organizational initiatives
- Apply strong design and messaging judgement to create assets such as posters, presentations, donor materials, and cases for support
- Contribute to the development of key organizational publications, including the Impact Report, Annual Report, and donor communications
- Ensure all materials are consistent, high-quality, and aligned with brand standards
