We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused, organized and dedicated full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our independent community pharmacy.
The ideal candidate is personable, highly motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to excellent customer service. This role offers the opportunity to work in a professional healthcare environment within a retail pharmacy, providing meaningful support that positively impacts the health and well-being of our community.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Providing the highest level of customer service, both in person and over the phone
- Data entry into Kroll software (ie. entering, billing and filling of prescriptions)
- Third party adjudication
- Preparing compliance/blister packaging
- Managing and ordering both front store and dispensary stock
- Processing patient prescription pickup and drop off
- Maintaining patient files and ensuring they are always up-to-date
- Assisting with cashier responsibilities
- Fostering and maintaining great relationships with patients
Qualifications and Skills
- One year minimum experience as a Pharmacy Assistant and/or graduate from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant program
- Proficiency in Kroll is required
- Ability to multitask, work independently and take initiative
- Superior attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Availability to work all shifts within our hours of operation, which may include Saturdays
Languages Required: English
Required education:
- Pharmacy Assistant Diploma/Certificate and/or relevant Pharmacy experience in excess of 1 year
