Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is seeking a motivated, results-driven Assistant Manager to help lead our restaurant operations and support the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in daily operations, employee development, customer satisfaction, and achieving business goals.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training team members
- Coach, mentor, and motivate employees to achieve performance goals
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture
- Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, and work ethic
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
Operations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Manage opening, closing, and shift procedures
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met
- Monitor labor costs and assist with scheduling to meet business needs
- Maintain inventory levels and place orders as required
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Customer Expereince
- Deliver outstanding guest service and resolve customer concerns promptly
- Build positive relationships with guests and the local community
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements when necessary
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment
- Conduct routine operational and safety inspections
Financial Responsibilities
- Assist with cash management, deposits, and daily reporting
- Monitor sales performance and key operational metrics
- Support initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality management experience
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
