Duties
- Greet patients warmly, check them in efficiently, and manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix dental software.
- Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls accurately and professionally.
- Maintain electronic medical records with precision, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient records using Epic or similar systems.
- Manage front desk operations including filing, correspondence, and maintaining a clean, organized reception area.
- Support the dental team with inventory management of supplies and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a dental office or medical office environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Dentrix dental software, Epic electronic health records system, and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong office experience with handling multi-line phone systems and front desk operations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and basic clinical skills is a plus but not mandatory.
- Previous experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and administrative tasks enhances your candidacy.
