Summary
Sylvite is seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator to join our team in Putnam. This role is vital in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and supporting our commitment to reliable supply chain solutions. Based in our facility in Putnam, you will contribute directly to our mission of building strong partnerships through effective logistics management.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and reach trucks safely to load and unload materials.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare orders for shipment and ensure proper packaging.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory.
- Assist with order picking and fulfillment tasks.
- Support load planning and movement within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts and reach trucks.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order processing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse roles is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely.
