MAGROUP Magnaghi Aerospace - MAGROUP Canada is seeking a Financial Controller to join our growing organization. Reporting to the CFO, this role will be responsible for consolidating financial information from (2) Canadian plants and strengthening the quality, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting. The successful candidate should be strong in financial statements, have working knowledge of IFRS (15 and 16), management accounting, consolidations, reporting, cash and treasury management. The position is based in Vaughan, GTA.
Key Responsibilities
- Consolidating and presenting financial data from mainly two (2) Canadian MAGROUP legal entities.
- Collaborating with the local management team and providing support for production of short and long-term financial forecasts and budgets.
- Leading the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages.
- Coordinating closely with local accounting team to ensure data integrity and alignment.
- Analyzing results, identifying variances, and providing clear data-driven insights.
- Performing banking and financing reconciliations.
- Producing the year-end report.
- Preparing various analytical tables.
- Performing the valuation and depreciation process.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA designation or in late stages of CPA completion.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or controlling, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with multi-entity consolidation and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Previous experiences working with SAP preferred
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Bilingual (English/French), strongly preferred
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per month between manufacturing facilities.

Pay: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
