Position Overview
We are looking for motivated Journeyman Instrumentation Technicians to join our growing Field Services team.
This field-based position supports the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems in active construction and industrial environments. You will play an important role in ensuring systems are installed safely, accurately, and reliably from initial installation through startup.

What You Will Do
As a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician, you will:
- Install, terminate, calibrate, and test instrumentation systems, including transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and other field devices, in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
- Complete tubing layout, bending, routing, and installation for instrument air and process systems using stainless steel and copper tubing
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and manufacturer documentation
- Perform loop checks and support commissioning and startup activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control issues in active field environments
- Coordinate with foremen, project managers, engineers, clients, and other trades to maintain project schedules, productivity, and quality
- Adapt to changing site conditions, project phases, and priorities while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments and comply with Sabre and client safety requirements
- Inspect completed work, identify discrepancies, and report quality issues or non-conformances
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Lead assigned tasks and provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices when required
- Follow all technical, quality, and safety instructions provided by supervisors and project leadership
What You Bring
- Valid Journeyman Instrumentation Technician certification
- Experience working in industrial construction, maintenance, commissioning, or similar field environments
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
- Experience installing, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems
- Experience with instrument air and process tubing installation and field-routing practices
- Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work
- Ability to lead tasks and mentor apprentices in the field
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required
