This fast-paced Service position at Manchu WOK Marlborough involves greeting guests, taking accurate orders via POS, serving food, and handling payments all while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Job Summary
As the first point of contact, you are the face of our restaurant. You will greet customers warmly, guide them through our Chinese cuisine menu, accurately take and prepare orders, and ensure our front-of-house area is clean and inviting.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers immediately with a smile, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Order Accuracy: Efficiently take dine-in, takeout, and telephone orders using the POS system.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payments, balancing the drawer at the end of the shift.
- Food Service: Assemble and package takeaway orders, including portioning sides and packing condiments.
- Station Maintenance: Keep the counter area, dining room, and beverage station clean, sanitized, and fully stocked.
- Teamwork: Communicate efficiently with kitchen staff to ensure timely order completion and resolve any customer concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fast-paced customer service environment preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
