Minimum 1 year barista experience preferred
We are looking for someone to join our fast-paced bakery/cafe. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Knowledge and ability to make espresso drinks (latte, cappuccino, americano, etc)
- Ability to handle a point-of-sale system and cash/debit/credit transactions
- Friendly & professional demeanour.
- Taking orders; packaging baked goods and desserts; customer service.
- Knowledge of using plant-based milks.
- Ability to problem solve and follow protocols with minimal supervision.
- Lifting heavy packages (10+kg)
- Working with various vegan food mediums.
- Adhering to proper food handling guidelines and safety protocol.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the workspace (a task shared by everyone on the team) by tidying the kitchen and retail area, sorting/washing dishes, organising stock, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, cleaning equipment, and any other duty as needed.
- Packaging daily wholesale orders that go out each morning.
- Must be capable of working independently on tasks.
- Have or be willing to acquire a food handlers certificate.
- help package in process foods and products in the kitchen.
