Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Glass Technician to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for replacing, repairing, and installing automotive glass with precision and care. They will also be handling residential and commercial glass as needed. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment both as an individual and with a team.
Duties
- Remove and replace damaged or broken automotive glass using hand tools and power tools
- Install new glass accurately to ensure proper sealing and alignment
- Inspect vehicles for additional damages or issues related to glass installation
- Use heavy lifting techniques to handle large or heavy glass components safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols during all stages of installation and repair processes
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service procedures and timelines
- Keep detailed records of work performed on each vehicle
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Driving to warehouses for pickups or returns is a possibility
Requirements
- 5 or more years experience in the automotive glass industry
- Knowledge of residential and commercial glass
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely, including automotive glass components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks efficiently
- Must have a valid driver's license and be from Saskatoon or surrounding area
Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
