Lenmak Exterior Innovations Inc. is looking for a full-time Brake/Shear Operator to join our production team in Edmonton.
Lenmak manufactures custom exterior architectural products, including metal cladding, roofing, flashing, trim, curtain wall components, insulated back pans, coils, sheets, and custom metal solutions. We take pride in producing high-quality products for commercial, residential, agricultural, and architectural projects.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate shear equipment to cut sheet metal and coil material to required dimensions.
- Operate or assist with related fabrication equipment such as brakes, slitters, roll-forming equipment, notching equipment, and material handling equipment.
- Read and follow work orders, drawings, cut lists, and production instructions.
- Measure, inspect, and verify finished parts for accuracy, finish, and quality.
- Work with aluminum, steel, prefinished metal, coil, sheets, and custom fabrication materials.
- Follow safe equipment operation procedures and shop safety practices.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and production-ready.
- Report equipment concerns, material defects, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Work as part of the production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
- Assist with general shop duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating a shear, brake, slitter, saw, CNC equipment, or other metal fabrication machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Ability to follow drawings, work orders, and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working with sheet metal, coils, and production equipment.
- Physically able to stand, lift, move material, and work in a shop environment.
- Reliable attendance and a positive team attitude.
- Commitment to working safely and following established procedures.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in architectural metal, roofing, cladding, flashing, HVAC, steel, aluminum, or sheet metal fabrication.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- CNC or automated fabrication equipment experience.
- Experience with quality checks and production documentation.
