Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within industrial commercial bakery manufacturing environments. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, blueprint reading, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The Industrial Electrician will ensure all electrical components operate efficiently and safely, supporting ongoing production and facility renovations. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems and equipment in industrial facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installations and repairs
- Maintain low voltage wiring systems, control panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively during installation and maintenance activities
- Perform work on existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or comply with updated codes
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues before they lead to system failures
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime during repairs or upgrades
- Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work and ensure compliance with industry standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar electrical role within manufacturing or construction environments; industrial electrical licence required; 442A or 309A.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and PLC equipment, low voltage wiring, and control systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment used in electrical installations
- Electrical license or certification mandatory for experienced candidates
- Demonstrated ability to perform electrical/ mechanical work on industrial and commercial machincery and adapt to evolving technical requirements
- Handyman experience is considered a plus for versatile troubleshooting skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
