Overview
We are seeking an active RECA Licensed Property Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience to oversee a diverse portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of property management systems, and exceptional customer service abilities. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, maintaining tenant relationships, and ensuring properties meet all safety and compliance standards. The Property Manager will play a key role in optimizing property performance and delivering outstanding service to tenants and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of multiple properties, ensuring efficient management and maintenance
- Coordinate leasing activities, including marketing vacant units and conducting property tours
- Manage tenant relations, addressing inquiries, complaints, and lease negotiations with professionalism
- Utilize property management software to track rent payments, maintenance requests, and financial reports
- Tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping to ensure accuracy and compliance,
- Collaborate with maintenance team to schedule repairs and inspections
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety standards are met and properties are well-maintained
- Develop and implement strategies for tenant retention and occupancy growth
- Prepare reports on property performance for senior management
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with tenants, vendors, and team members
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or related office experience with administrative responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of a property management software
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle negotiations effectively
- Experience in sales, customer relationship management, and tenant retention strategies
- Familiarity with maintenance scheduling and tracking
- Exceptional organizational skills with proficiency in data entry, filing, and record keeping
- Strong negotiation skills to manage lease agreements and vendor contracts
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Prior office experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Valid Alberta driver's license
