Summary
Supports engineering and sales order entry to ensure customer inquiries are addressed. The role will include CAD work, systems work and quote processing to ensure accuracy and efficient flow through our systems.
Responsibilities:
Processing Customer Requests
- Prepares cost estimates related to customer file documents/drawings.
- Use existing software to ensure proper details apply to incoming information.
- Organize information to allow fabrication to occur on customer products.
- Examine drawings for conformity and errors.
- Verifies and submits drawings/programs for final checking.
- Identifies and selects tools necessary to accomplish job.
- Numbers/renumbers, and files internally generated drawings and programs according to established systems and procedures.
- Work with customers to identify areas of improvement which benefit both the customer and Brunswick.
Processes Revisions
- Reviews requested changes and/or revised customer drawings, identifies and determines changes to shop drawings and CNC programs.
- Makes necessary changes and releases revised drawings and programs to support production activities.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies with drawings, files, specifications, programs, and/or sample parts.
Assists in New Business/Estimating Activity
- Determines and selects best routings for specific applications, develops estimates for programming, machine setup, and machine run times.
Performs other Associated Tasks and Duties
- Supports and co-ordinates work activities with other departments.
- Complies with Safe Work Procedures.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Ensures the strict confidentiality and privacy as they relate to Brunswick Steel and its customers.
- May perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- CADD Diploma/Certificate from a recognized drafting program or 3-5 years of equivalent related experience and/or training.
- Experience using CADD software; AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor experience considered an asset.
- Experience with CADD techniques and standards.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with sheet metal considered an asset.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
