Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Cook to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, restaurant management experience, and a passion for food service excellence. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards, managing staff, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Cook will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality food preparation, fostering a positive team environment, and upholding the reputation of our establishment. We are also doing a kitchen expansion and would love to hire someone who has a vision to bring a space alive and help grow our brewery as a culinary destination.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, ordering, and serving activities
- Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff and servers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth workflow
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently met
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance skills in food safety, hospitality, and customer service
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize operational efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health codes
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with management on menu development and promotional activities
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant management roles
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage small teams effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
- Experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and serving protocols
- Previous experience working in the hospitality or food industry is highly desirable

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
