Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of menu items and specials
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Clover POS, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash and process payments accurately through cashiering procedures, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, serving stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation and timely delivery to guests
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a solid understanding of the food industry standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cashiering, calculating bills, tips, and change accurately
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting
- Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
