Hawg Pitt Motorcycles is looking for a reliable, skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our team.
We work on everything from daily riders to custom builds, and we want someone with a strong mechanical background, a genuine passion for motorcycles, and pride in delivering high-quality work. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues across various motorcycle makes and models
- Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, brake service, tire installation, chain adjustment, tune-ups
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, and other key components
- Install custom parts and accessories (handlebars, exhaust, wheels, etc.)
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work meets industry standards
- Test ride motorcycles (when necessary) to verify repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and document completed work
- Order parts and supplies as needed to complete repairs efficiently
- Keep the workplace clean, organized, and safe
- Communicate clearly with team members, management, and customers regarding repairs and timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Red Seal motorcycle certification preferred, or 2+ years equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of motorcycle systems (engine, electrical, fuel, suspension)
- Experience with Harley-Davidson, Indian, and metric cruisers an asset
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in English with the ability to maintain and track hours and work performed
- Resident of British Columbia
- Valid Class 5/6 BC driver’s license (please attach a current driver’s abstract)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
