- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage the processing of incoming material requests efficiently and securely and cultivate strong working relationships with key electrical trade suppliers and distributors.
- Compliance and Tracking: Diligently track material status (ordering, shipping, receiving) and review supplier invoices for adherence to company policy and purchase order terms before processing for payment.
- Subcontractor Support: Support the project team with procurement needs for electrical subcontractors, including tracking scopes of work and coordinating material supply.
- Inventory and Logistics: Assist the operations team with various tasks related to inventory management and delivery logistics, ensuring materials arrive at the job site as needed.
- Additional Duties as Assigned: Be flexible and willing to take on additional procurement and administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the projects department.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Electrical Expertise: 1–2 years of experience working in the electrical trades, for an electrical contractor, or at the supplier/distributor level, giving you the strong knowledge foundation needed to succeed in electrical procurement.
- Industry Background: Must have a background in electrical materials (such as conduit, wire, switchgear, controls, and lighting), demonstrating proficiency in understanding project material requirements and technical specifications.
- System Expertise: Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, demonstrating proficiency in utilizing tools like Excel for data management and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skill, enabling clear and professional interaction with all internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Site Teams) and external suppliers.
