We have an immediate opening for an experienced Dump Truck Driver for a waterproofing, excavation and construction/demolition company located in Welland. Job sites vary throughout the Niagara area. Applicants must have construction experience, a valid DZ license with clean CVOR, proof of 3 years DZ insured driving experience and access to reliable transportation.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, capable of working with minimal supervision, able to work long hours in all work and weather conditions, have steel toed boots, and willing to follow directions closely, take pride in their work and be a team player. Ability to work as a labourer and having heavy equipment experience considered a huge asset.
Responsibilities:
- Daily circle check reports and upkeep of company vehicle, including general maintenance and cleanliness of cabs
- Verifying loads and paperwork (proper loading of materials, tarping, strapping etc.)
- Completion of all daily (MTO) paperwork requirements
- Safe and timely deliveries and pick ups of material to locations
- Participate in loading and unloading materials
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and sub trades
- Adhere and follow company’s Health & Safety policies and regulations
- Abide by all rules and laws of the road
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Job Requirements:
- Driver's Licence (Class D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement-Standard Transmission experience a must
- Driver’s abstract and clear CVOR; proof of 3 years driving insurance
- 1-2 years related experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Wage is dependent on experience ($25-$30/hr). Immediate start available. This is a part time, permanent position but may work full time hours based on season and work load. Send resume via email
