Brantwood is hiring a skilled leader to fill an open position in one of our Residential Group Homes.
Expectations
- Provide leadership to Direct Support Professionals (i.e., implementation of person centered goals that align with Brantwood's Vision, Mission and Values and Ministry of Children Community and Social Service's transformation agenda
- Promote and practice positive collaboration between team members, locations and departments
- Develop open and responsive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead diverse teams of individuals to unified goals that positively contributes to Journey to Belonging
- Participate in the recruitment, selection and training of Direct Support Professionals and Students
- Develop and manage scheduling and budgets to ensure policy compliance and concerns
- Participate in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures
- Respond independently to inquiries that are specific and require thorough knowledge of established policies andprocedures
- Work variable shifts (days, evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Support the On-Call rotation by responding to emergency situations on a regular basis
Our Ideal Candidate will Possess
- Applicants registered and in good standing as a Registered Practical Nurse by the Colleges of Nurses of Ontario
- A post-secondary Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Experience facilitating full inclusion for people with developmental disabilities in their community
- Experience supporting individuals with multiple developmental diagnoses who communicate through non-verbalinteractions
- Time management skills
- Previous leadership experience considered an asset
- A valid G driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Successful Applicants will Provide
- Current Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED (Level A)
- 3 Year Driving Abstract
- Pre-Employment Health Form
- 2 Valid Covid 19 Vaccinations
- Current NVCI training (preferred)
- Valid RPN Registration Number
