Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our newly opened Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to foster developmental growth through innovative teaching methods. This role involves working closely with children, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure a positive educational experience.
Requirements
- Valid BC ECE and/or ECE-IT License to Practice, in good standing.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C (Child/Infant).
- Clean Criminal Record Check (CRC).
- Up-to-date Immunization record.
- Satisfactory Health assessment.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience working as ECE and/or ECE-IT
- Satisfactory letters of reference.
- Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written).
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the Centre's educational standards and individual student needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
- Support children's social skills, emotional regulation, and behavioral development through positive guidance strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and maintain a cohesive curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, needs, and classroom events.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Adapt teaching strategies for children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
