About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial & Development, the Commercial & Development Analyst will provide support to the Commercial & Development team on the creation of business cases, financial analysis, economic models, and assisting in the development of presentations for executives.
Simultaneously, the Commercial & Development analyst will also be expected to assist in the day to day and month to month requirements of the Commercial team such as, ensuring accurate invoicing of contracts, assisting in the development of long-range plans, responding to customer requests, developing and distributing regular reports to senior management, and providing analytical support, as requested.
What you’ll do:
Support the Commercial & Development team on business development projects.
Assist in the development of Husky Midstream long-range plans.
Review and understand contractual tariff rates in the internal system of record.
Ensure contractual compliance (notices, escalations, etc.), track/provide updates on upcoming contractual activities, and ensure accurate invoicing.
Develop & distribute regular reports to senior management.
Draft & distribute contractual notices to customers, as required.
Attend meetings with Commercial & Development, operations, finance, strategy and other groups as required.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX controls.
Follow the Commercial Agreement Review Signoff Process when executing documents ensuring proper routing (via Docusign) and signoff from management.
Conduct Market Analytics and develop economic models.
Competitive landscape analysis (customer netbacks & alternative option reviews).
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in commercial, marketing or business development roles related to the midstream oil & gas industry considered an asset.
