Position Summary
Daisies Academy is seeking caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educators to join our team. Educators are responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of children.
Educators will work collaboratively with team members, families, and leadership to deliver a high-quality play-based program aligned with Alberta’s Flight: Early Learning and Care Framework.
Key Responsibilities Child Supervision & Safety
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
- Ensure children’s safety, well-being, and emotional security.
- Monitor children’s interactions and guide safe and respectful behaviour.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations and centre policies.
- Report incidents, injuries, and concerns promptly to leadership and families as required
Program Planning & Implementation
- Plan and implement age-appropriate play-based activities
- Support children’s learning through exploration, creativity, and inquiry.
- Promote positive social-emotional development and independence.
- Maintain engaging classroom environments and learning materials.
- Participate in observations, documentation, and learning stories.
- Use positive child guidance strategies.
- Support children with emotional regulation and problem-solving.
- Reinforce classroom expectations such as gentle hands, safe bodies, and respectful communication.
- Build trusting and respectful relationships with children.

Communication & Teamwork
- Maintain professional communication with families and coworkers.

Classroom Operations
- Assist with daily routines including meals, transitions, toileting, and outdoor play.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards within the classroom.
- Ensure materials and equipment are used safely and appropriately.
