Alberta Roof Experts is seeking an experienced, motivated, and reliable Roofing Service Technician to join our team. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial roofing, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
Position Summary
As a Roofing Service Technician, you will perform roof inspections, diagnose leaks, complete warranty and maintenance repairs, and carry out exterior repairs on residential properties. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-focused, professional when dealing with customers, and capable of working independently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential roofing systems.
- Complete roof inspections and identify deficiencies.
- Perform leak investigations and emergency repairs.
- Repair and replace asphalt shingles, flashings, vents, and roof accessories.
- Complete repairs to siding, soffit, fascia, and eavestrough components as required.
- Document repairs with photographs and written reports.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain repair recommendations.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to Alberta Roof Experts' quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and Alberta OHS regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of roofing service or repair experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of residential roofing systems.
- Experience with:
- Asphalt shingles
- Flashing details
- Siding
- Soffit and fascia
- Roof ventilation systems
- Ability to troubleshoot roof leaks and identify their source.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Clean driving record (Driver's Abstract may be required).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Working at Heights/Fall Protection certification is considered an asset.
- Basic hand tools.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test if required.
