Lawlor Safety is looking for a Customer Service and Inside Sales Representative to join our Hamilton team. The position is full-time Monday to Friday (between 8am and 5pm) with rotating Saturday morning coverage, working out of our Hamilton office.
Customer Service and Inside Sales Representatives sell products, goods, and services to new and existing customers. They build relationships with customers, recommend products or services, negotiate sales prices, contact customers throughout the sales process, and answer any questions customers have about our products. This Customer Service and Inside Sales Representative learns the wants and needs of customers, product offerings, industry trends and market norms.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in superior communications with customers via phone, email and in person.
- Process customer orders and enquiries in a timely manner.
- Respond to all requests for pricing, availability and product uses with professionalism, recognizing the needs and applications of the individual customer.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the company embodying the mission, goals, and values of the company as this role is often a first point of contact and will set the tone for future business.
- Identify and pursue further sales opportunities, decision makers and opportunities. Pass leads to appropriate team members as required with complete, accurate information.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally. Advocate for the customer to ensure they receive their order as expected, leaving the door open for follow-up communication and support.
- Participate in all meetings, vendor presentations and learning opportunities as required.
- Communicate activity in a timely, informative way with management through emails and phone.
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
- Keep records of customer interactions using CRM and ERP tools (Netsuite).
- Other related duties as assigned in helping achieve our goal, “Every Worker, Everywhere, Safe and Healthy”.
Background and Experience Required:
- Working knowledge of the health and safety industry is preferred
- Proven experience in customer service and inside sales (1-2 years) preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to build rapport and foster trust with customers.
- Strong organizational, multitasking abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong work ethic and a self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
