Hogan Chevrolet has an immediate requirement for a Parts Counter Person to join our successful dealership in Scarborough. In this key role, you will report to the Parts Manager and be responsible for assisting internal, retail and wholesale customers with all part-related needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to manage cash handling responsibilities efficiently.
Responsibilities include
- Provide technicians at the shop counter with parts accurately and efficiently to ensure they have all the required parts for the repair orders in a timely manner.
- Booking out all parts on invoices and repair orders.
- Looking up parts and giving quotes for people who call in looking for help.
- Sell parts to retail customers and wholesale customers over the phone or at the front parts counter.
- Be sure to keep the inventory clean and accurate.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized parts room and area
- Assist in other areas of the parts department as required.
Qualifications
- Previous parts experience is an asset. GM experience is preferred but not necessarily required.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
- Secondary education (High school).
- Must be able to multi-task
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
