Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Arborist Assistant to join our team, responsible for assisting the arborist and crew. The ideal candidate will have experience or education in arboriculture or forestry. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
Duties
- Assist arborist during tree work (rigging, bringing equipment/tools as needed)
- Move branches in work zone to wood chipper
- Clean site after completion of job
- Stack wood (occasionally load wood/logs)
- Operate and drive 1 Ton Truck while towing chipper
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in arboriculture/horitulctural field is a strong asset.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean driving record
- Related education in arboriculture or forestry is a strong asset.
- Experience towing trailers is a strong asset.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting heavy loads.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Commitment to safety standards and environmental best practices.
