Overview client's Capital Markets Technology Regulatory Reporting Services (RRS) Product Intake team is at the forefront of ensuring regulatory compliance through innovative technology solutions. Our team specializes in assessing regulatory reporting impacts, gathering requirements, and managing requests from technology partners and business stakeholders. We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with a passion for delivering actionable solutions that drive business value and regulatory compliance.
Solution Delivery: Drive the end-to-end delivery of solutions for regulatory reporting challenges, from initial assessment through to implementation and validation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define business problems and design effective, scalable solutions.
Impact Assessment & Triage: Lead the assessment and triage of regulatory reporting and production issues, translating findings into actionable user stories, bug fixes, and solution recommendations for the RRS backlog.
Root Cause Analysis & Remediation: Perform deep-dive investigations to identify root causes and propose practical, sustainable remediation strategies. Clearly communicate outcomes and next steps to both technical and business partners.
Knowledge Sharing & Training: Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor colleagues and business partners in RRS architecture, processes, and solution approaches. Foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Project Participation: Act as a key RRS representative in project initiatives, providing solution-oriented feedback and ensuring alignment with regulatory and business objectives.
Documentation & Reference Materials: Contribute to and enhance the RRS wiki and other reference materials, ensuring solution designs and implementation details are well-documented for future use.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to optimize processes, enhance solution delivery, and improve regulatory reporting outcomes.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business and technical problems, and deliver well-structured, practical solutions.
Technical Proficiency: Strong competence in writing and executing SQL queries for data mining, functional verification, and validation.
Agile Experience: Proven experience in writing user stories and working effectively within Agile teams.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Capital Markets Regulations (e.g., CFTC, CSA, SEC, ESMA/EMIR, HKMA, ASIC, MIFIDII, SFTR, IIROC, LOPR, LTR).
Platform Experience: Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting technology platforms such as DTCC, Unavista, or Trax.
Messaging Standards: Familiarity with FIX, FPML, CSV, ISO 20022 XML, or similar message types.
Capital Markets Expertise: Strong knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial Instruments, including OTC Derivatives, Exchange Traded Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market transactions.
Risk Management Exposure: Experience or familiarity with Market Risk Management, Risk Valuation, or Liquidity Risk Management is an asset.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with all organizational levels and external regulatory institutions.
Solution Orientation: Demonstrated track record of delivering solutions that meet regulatory and business needs.
AI Proficiency: Proficiency in leveraging AI co-pilot tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) to accelerate solution design, development, and documentation.
Agentic AI Experience: Experience in designing, implementing, or optimizing business processes using agentic AI solutions, with a focus on automation, workflow enhancement, or intelligent task orchestration.
1. Able to lead end-to-end solution delivery for regulatory reporting issues, including assessment, triage, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, and implementation support.
2. Strong business systems analysis and Agile delivery experience, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear user stories, backlog items, and practical solution recommendations.
3. Deep regulatory reporting domain knowledge across capital markets regulations and products, including trade reporting obligations, OTC derivatives, ETDs, FX, and money market instruments.
4. Solid technical capability in SQL-based data analysis and validation, with hands-on familiarity with regulatory reporting platforms and message standards such as DTCC, Unavista, Trax, FIX, FpML, CSV, and ISO 20022 XML.
5. Effective communicator and knowledge leader, able to mentor stakeholders, document solutions, drive continuous improvement, and leverage AI and agentic AI tools to enhance delivery and process automation.
- CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
