Orca Spirit Adventures, Victoria’s largest whale-watching company, is searching for dedicated and adventurous individuals to join us as Zodiac Skippers for the 2025 Whale Watching Season! This is your chance to share your knowledge and excitement for the natural world with locals, tourists, and adventure seekers, while working on the stunning waters surrounding Vancouver Island.
Position Details
What You’ll Do:
● Lead Adventures: Captain our rugged Zodiac vessels, providing thrilling yet safe experiences for guests.
● Educate and Inspire: Share engaging stories and fascinating facts about whales, marine life, and our local ecosystem.
● Prioritize Safety: Ensure the well-being of all guests on board and uphold Orca Spirit’s safety standards.
● Collaborate: Communicate professionally with other captains and vessels to enhance the guest experience.

● Thrive in a leadership role, especially in outdoor and on-the-water environments.

Required Certifications:
● SVOP (Small Vessel Operator Proficiency)
● ROC-M (Restricted Operator Certificate – Marine Radio)
● Marine First Aid
● Preferred Experience: Experience working in a similar role involving marine wildlife or eco-tourism.
