TESC is seeking a Senior Accountant to be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts and analyses that support operational and strategic decision‑making. The role contributes to financial planning, strengthens internal controls, and maintains reliable financial reporting systems.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, along with insightful analysis to support business decisions.
- Lead the development and ongoing management of operational and capital budgets, including forecasting activities.
- Oversee the full fixed assets lifecycle from an accounting perspective—acquisitions through to disposals—maintaining depreciation and lease schedules.
- Support strategic planning by building and maintaining long-term financial models.
- Identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to financial systems and reporting processes.
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place and consistently followed across financial operations.
- Design and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures aligned with company objectives.
- Produce ad hoc reports and analyses as needed by leadership.
- Analyze and present key financial and operational metrics to the management team.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external audit requirements.
- Partner with the Controller to develop and evaluate financial programs, including tax planning, real estate, and treasury initiatives.
- Deliver high-quality reporting to banks, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee corporate credit card processes, including managing the Visa portal, ensuring timely reconciliations and payments, and maintaining accurate coding and documentation for posting in Jonas.
What You Bring
- Degree in Business or a related field
- CPA designation and/or MBA is an asset
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis
- Familiarity with SQL, BI tools, or database structures is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and perform under pressure
- Solid financial acumen, including an understanding of budgeting structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset with experience partnering with operational teams
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
- Valid CPIC criminal record check required
