Position – Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Are you a visionary marketing leader who thrives on building brands, driving growth, and creating exceptional member experiences? We’re looking for an innovative Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of our organization.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CMO is responsible for leading the organization’s marketing strategy, brand management, communications, digital marketing, market research, community investment initiatives, and member growth strategies. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by driving sustainable growth while strengthening our commitment to the members and communities we serve.
What You’ll Do:
As Chief Marketing Officer, you will:
Drive Strategic Growth
· Develop and execute long-term marketing and brand strategies aligned with the organization’s strategic plan.
· Identify emerging market opportunities, evolving member needs, and competitive trends.
· Support sustainable growth across membership, deposits, lending, and advisory services.
· Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Inspire High-Performing Teams
· Lead, mentor, and develop an exceptional marketing and communications team.
· Establish departmental goals, budgets, and key performance metrics.
· Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Build strong relationships with external agencies, consultants, and strategic partners.
Elevate the Brand
· Lead integrated marketing initiatives across advertising, content marketing, social media, public relations, and digital channels.
· Ensure a consistent, compelling brand experience across all touchpoints and locations.
· Oversee product marketing and campaign planning, internal and external communications.
· Measure campaign performance and optimize marketing investments through data-driven insights.
Champion Member Experience
· Drive member acquisition, retention, and loyalty strategies.
· Leverage analytics and member insights to improve engagement and personalization.
· Support digital adoption and seamless omnichannel experiences.
· Champion financial literacy initiatives and meaningful community partnerships.
Who You Are:
We’re looking for a strategic leader who combines creativity with business acumen. Our ideal candidate will have the following:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
· Seven (7) or more years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, brand, or growth-focused roles.
· Experience within financial services, banking, or the credit union sector is considered a strong asset.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
· A proven ability to lead transformational marketing initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
